Monmouthshire Fair Trade Groups

Monmouthshire is a registered Fair Trade county and part of Fair Trade Wales.  Counties and towns have their registration approved by the UK national Fair Trade Foundation.

FAIR TRADE MEANS:-

• FAIR and STABLE PRICES – paid to producers and workers in developing countries.
• LONG TERM TRADING RELATIONSHIPS – allows planning for the future.
• EXTRA MONEY – for Community Projects like schools and healthcare.
• IMPROVED WORKING CONDITIONS and a BETTER ENVIRONMENT

There are four Fair Trade Town groups in the county :-  Abergavenny,  Chepstow,  Monmouth and Usk.  All groups aim to promote Fair Trade in Monmouthshire.
